Area 7 Observations. 1. The Area was full of fantastically built rigs, big tires, and bigger hearts. 2. Georgia Jeepers are the most giving bunch of complete idiots it has ever been my pleasure to know. I have no idea how much money we raised, but Im sure it will help the Boyds with their expenses. Speaking from personal experience, Egelston is not cheap, and insurance does not cover everything. 3. The loud pedal will get you through most stuff...Except the v-ditch after 7 inches of rain in 2 weeks. There was easily 3 feet of mud where everybody got stuck. 4. Air in tires is optional if youre crossing the pond. And a couple of serious items. 5. The entrance and the parking area are in serious need of a donation of about 10 loads of gravel. The hill was soup and the road looked unpaved as I was leaving. 6. The culvert at the entrance is going to require surgery. Its too narrow, and the pipe is too small. 7. Out of respect for the people who live on Gauntt Road, we need to ensure that trailers are loaded on the property, not on the road. Irritating the neighbors will get this place closed before its officially opened. In conclusion, todays event convinced me it is impossible to have a bad time with Georgia Jeepers at Area 7. Im looking forward to the next event, even if it involves shovels and chainsaws. :)
