Arijit Singh to croon for Rajinikanth in Kochadaiiyaan India’s current singing craze will sing a trademark Arijit flavoured song in Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan Arijit Singh, who became an overnight sensation with his soulful songs in Aditya Roy Kapur-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Aashiqui 2 has surely come a long way ever since then. To an extent that, the talented singer has been roped in by the music maestro A R Rahman himself for Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone. Arijit will croon a song titled Dilchaspian in the Hindi version of the film. We have seen Arijit doing playback for youngsters in B-town. However, this will be the first time when he will be the voice of our country’s 60+ superstar. And it’s a no brainier that Singh is all excited about it. “How many out there actually get this opportunity and this one can happen only once in a lifetime. Moreover, Rahman hardly ropes in someone from the Bollywood playback singing scene. He has put together his own set of talented artists from various parts of the country and most of the voices that you hear in his films are unexplored. In case of Arijit, he has made an impression and that by itself is a huge honour for the rising star,” a close associate of the singer was quoted by a portal. Really, very few people get an opportunity like this, hai na? Kudos to Mr Singh!
