Arlington folks.... I just talked to my attorney regarding the BS ticket I received 28 days after my accident. (I may have mentioned that we are going to trial. ) He gave me some staggering numbers.... Out of 4000 plus cases he has handled in Arlington, more than half were pled out. So roughly 2000 (give or take a 100) that went to trial he has only had 10 acquittals! He told me he was going to have a hay day in court with my case. There are so many holes in the states case against me, he can only think of one other case that was that was this messed up. It was a speeding ticket in a school zone written 9 years after the fact. Yep you read it correctly. 9 years later! He said he would have loved to take that to a jury, but it was one of the only cases he has handled that was dismissed . I could have squashed the ticket with a $210 fine and be done with it. I explained that it wasnt a matter of the fine, but rather what is right and wrong. Win or loose, I am doing this for every person that the city of Arlington has put the screws to. He said hands down , Arlington PD is the hardest to go against in his 25 years practicing law.
