Armed Robbery Warren. Police are appealing to the community for information about an armed robbery that occurred at Warren in September. About 10.20pm on Sunday 28 September 2014, a 40-year-old man was working alone at a hotel in Dubbo Street. A short time later a man armed with a shotgun threatened him and demanded money. The man fled on foot a short time later with a quantity of cash. Police from Darling River Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. The employee was not injured during the incident. Police commenced a search for the armed man and shortly before 11pm officers attempted to stop a silver Ford Falcon on the Oxley Highway at Nevertire. The Ford was able to avoid police and although there were several subsequent sightings of the vehicle, officers could not stop the driver. The vehicle was eventually located in Tullamore Cemetery on Wednesday 1 October 2014. Police have urged anyone who might have seen the vehicle on the day of the robbery, or prior to its discovery, to come forward.
