Around 2000 people congregated at the Bentley blockade, 5am this morning. There was a beautiful and inspiring atmosphere of harmony and community togetherness, and the dawn was magical. They were expected this morning, but they didnt turn up! With so many protectors ready to blockade, perhaps theyre hoping our numbers will dwindle over the coming days, before they attempt to break the blockade. This is a campaign of attrition. Every day of delay costs the government and Metgasco money. Eventually it wont be worth their while to continue. It is therefore vital that we keep up the strong numbers, so if you can, please attend the blockade. Best to come by 5am (or camp the night before) if you want to come before the police block off the roads, but come any time you can (see link below for details) If you dont want gas mining in the Northern Rivers, now is the time to act. I read that the extra police are only here for the next two weeks, so this is when numbers are needed most. Many of us have taken time off work.
