GIRLS WHO MISS MRS. Young men see in the girls they marry something that others may not see, and they see it only because their eyes have been annointed with the salve of love. The girl who desires but misses marriage has done something to turn from her the young man who might have change her name. Men vary so widely in their likes and dislikes that it is no easy task to state the quality they seek in their future wives, but there are certain characteristics that men dislike in women. Some of them are: 1.OVER ANXIETY.- one of the surest ways to scare a fellow away from the marriage alter is to be too desirous of getting him there. Men want to do the proposing and resent it when girls take the initiative. Whatever the maner one adopts in attempting to hurry marriage, young men detect it and it frightens them away. Men are very courageous when they make the advance. It makes them heroic in spirit. They flee when a girl pursues them. One of the most important acts in a mans life is the choosing of a wife, and he still wants to do his own wooing and pursuing. 2.TOO MUCH SENTIMENTALITY.- This action is most commonly designated by the word softness. The clinging vine is soon broken off the male branch. Affection has a rule, is welcomed by men, but undue sentimentality is an offence. The person that is too soft that she cant sit up straight in public, but reclines her head on a human pillar and insists on holding hands on the street, is destined to walk empty handed. 3.SELF-CENTEREDNESS.- The feelings of the self-centered person are always hurt. They demand attention and when it is not forthcoming they grow resentful. A young man knows that a girl whose interests do not extend beyond herself is a poor matrimonial risk. She has not grown to womanhood. Marriage involves a partnership, in which two people lose self-interest becomes monotonous and intolerable. It must extend to include other interests and objects. Set your affections on things above is not only a command, it is a recipe for the preservation of affections. Love that does not reach out far beyond self is destined to become atrophied and eventually lost. There must be more joy secured in doing for others than in receiving from them. 3.NON-COOPERATIVENESS.- a girl with a cooperative spirit needs only to say to the young man who suggests visiting undesirable places, you would not me to go there, would you? and he gladly acquiessces. He will cooperate with her because she will cooperae with him. We are all members of the family of society. Only those who learn to work with others find there true places in this world. 5.UNKINDNESS.- the person who is kind always compels our admiration. The unkindess she adopts towards those of her own household in the presence of her sweetheart will make her miss. mrs. Kindness to the aged and parents is an attribute that young lovers are quick to notice. 6.FLIRTING.- A flirt is one who plays at courtship. She makes insincere advances. She is egotistic and vain. It is false pride that makes her a coquet. She seeks to attract admiration simply to gratify her vanity. Men think flirt is to be foish or cheap. The girl who thinks men are following her because she rolls her eyes so beautifully is mistaken. They follow her because they think she is cheap.
