Around noon today I was able to observe about a thousand fairly large birds fly south in several large groups. They flew incredibly high, coming frome the North, caught a wind current, cicled for a while, climbing steadily higher and then zoomed off to the south, doing a little bit of a dog leg instead of flying straight on. Absolutely awesome how they used the wind to climb higher, gain speed and to change direction.
