Arrest Made After Struggle with Officer Paris, Tenn.- A report at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office stated that Dep. Stacey Bostwick observed Cassie M. Weatherly, age 28 of 965 Copper Springs Road sitting in a truck at Gin Creek Boat Ramp and he went to speak with her about a theft that had occurred recently. The report said she became defensive and began to get out of the truck. Dep.Bostwick attempted to restrain her and she became aggressive and during the struggle kicked him in the chest. She was finally apprehended and charged with assault, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. She was placed on $15K bond. A report at the Paris Police Department stated a home on Memorial Drive was being rented out and the owner found several items stolen. Items missing included a basketball goal and wood burning stove that were sitting outside the home and several items inside the home such as light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, and more. Police have made no arrests and continue to investigate the incident. Another report at the Paris Police Department stated that Ptl. Jamie James responded to Harrison Lane Apartments where reports had came in about someone trying to stab someone. After investigation Brian M. Long, age 30, of 418 Harrison Lane was arrested for assault and placed on $5K bond.
