Arrest Made in Hess Robberies Through a very thorough investigation by Major Case detectives, a suspect was identified. On 02-05-14, the suspect was brought to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed. Post Miranda, the suspect admitted to being the individual in the surveillance video at both stores. The suspect also discussed details of the events that occurred at each location with detectives. The suspect, Steven Ray Willis W/M DOB/12-12-1964, was arrested by Detective Jill Morrell and charged as follows: - 2013-38288 – Strong Arm Robbery - 2013-38290 – Attempted Strong Arm Robbery - No Bond.
