Arrived at my Hyatt hotel at Sterling, Virginia near Washington Dulles Airport at 8 PM since I started driving from Palm Bay, Florida at 6 AM this morning. I made my 16 hrs calculated drive time over 920 miles. Hit a traffic jam at dale City, in Virgina and had to detour through the country - extra miles and times. So happy I get here in one piece. Love driving through 4 States. Weather is sunny and warm, not hot. Stopped 4 times (1. For breakfast at Georgia. 2 for bathroom break at South Carolina. 3 Refuelling at South Carolina. 4 Refuelling and sandwich lunch at North Carolina). Cost me about $100.00 Fuel. Much cheaper than flying. My $60 per night 3 star Hyatt Hotel room is like a 5 star room. Comes with a microwave on request. I brought my own food to cut cost of eating out. Very spacious room; TV has all the channels that I want to catch up with my favourite TV programs; free breakfast; free internet and free parking. I am so lucky. Time to sleep to get an early start tomorrow at 6 AM with more driving every day for the next 3-5 days.
