Anthonys post made me think about the craziest thing Ive ever done and my First Holy Communion. I had mine a year before it was due, before I was even allowed to. Youre not allowed by the catholic church to eat Christs symbolic flesh before you make a Holy Confession (to make things clear I dont support this institution business anymore. Im talking about times when they were trying to indoctrinate my young, pure mind) I was 8 or 9 then. My one year older neighbor was having her ceremony of taking it in. I dont know why I did that, I dont know till now. Being beautifully dressed in white I just mingled in the crowd of other girls dressed in white and swallowed it with an Amen No lightening hit me, but my mom did, and she did it really hard. She was so shocked seeing me come up to the Bishop and open my profane mouth before I even had an occasion to tell any priest I masturbate. I didnt even know it was a sin then. Im afraid it isnt. Life can be such a delicious farce!
