Arrived in sunny Dubai flying the Union Jack courtesy of Virgin Atlantic and made our way (at high speed, the taxi driver clearly thought that the Dubai F1 season had started) to the hotel which is top notch. So we unpacked, explored and later in the afternoon we strolled down to the pool, which was pleasantly busy. As we were the new comers, all eyes were on us, so I stretched out and did a few limbering up exercises, which drew a few admiring glances from the ladies. So in order to please them more I slipped out of the shorts and revealed ....... THE SPEEDOS! Combined with my magnificent physique, this proved too much for the ladies and as I entered the water with scarce a ripple I noticed that one or two of them had spilled their drinks. However by this time I was in my element and began to cut through the water like a great white, invisible, invincible and invulnerable. At that point men wanted to be me, women wanted to be with me. As I emerged from the water Daniel Craig like, it was clear that I had caused a stir, as quite a crowd had gathered an so tomorrow I vowed that I would wear my Union Jack speedos just to fly the flag. That night in the restaurant, we were pointed out by other couples and men came to shake me by the hand, women to bestow garlands of flowers upon me. The meal and drinks where of course free and this morning, as I stand looking out of the apartment window, the crowds gather already and as I step out onto the balcony, the is a roar as that would greet the monarchy.
