Art21 Screenings in Trifecta Gallery courtesy of the Peabody award-winning documentary series Art in the twenty-first century LAS VEGAS, NV April 14, 2014 -TRIFECTA GALLERY, in partnership with Art21’s Access 100 Artists initiative, presents exclusive selected screenings from Art in the Twenty-First Century. The second screening for ‘Late Until Eight’ in the Arts Districts Thursday night gallery initiative, features a one hour chapter from season 6 on the subject of Boundaries and the Freedom of Expression. Free and open to the public on Thursday April 17, 2014. Screening starts at 6:15. Discussion starts at 7:15. Art21 Access 100 Artists is an international screening initiative created to increase knowledge of contemporary art, ignite dialogue, and inspire creative thinking through hundreds of public screenings and events that tailor the ideas presented in series to the interests and concerns of local audiences. Through in-depth profiles and interviews, the Art in the Twenty-First Century series reveals the inspiration, vision and techniques behind the creative works of some of todays most thought-provoking artists. Art21 Access 100 Artists celebrates a milestone of 100 artists featured throughout six seasons of the Art in the Twenty-First Century series. Susan Sollins, Executive Producer of Art21, hopes audiences take full advantage to attend the life-changing potential of viewing creative role models at work. She states “Our goal is that these events spark new conversations, and expose all kinds of viewers to the important work of the artists profiled in the series. Art21 Access 100 Artists events are presented in partnership with the Arts Business Council, Emerging Leaders of New York Arts, National Guild for Community Arts Education, and the YMCA. “Trifecta Gallery has a long history of public education, “Late Until Eight”: conversations with artists takes place in the gallery each Thursday evening and encourages other galleries in the 18b Arts District to stay open until 8pm. Art21 enhances our program with perfect content for creative discussion afterward” explains Trifecta Gallery owner, Marty Walsh. Film screening from Season 6: BOUNDARIES features Artist David Altmejd, assume vivid astro focus collective, Lynda Benglis, and Tabaimo. The artists will discuss the boundaries within Freedom of Expression.
