ArtOutLogo What is ArtOut? South West Arts Inc is hosting ArtOut as an outdoor art event. ArtOut is an opportunity for artists and artisans to exhibit and sell their work from gazebos in an open-air market-style event, open to passing pedestrians. This will provide a venue for exhibitors to showcase and sell their work, without having to pay commission or gallery fees. ArtOut is aimed as an opportunity for artists and artisans to get their work out into the community, and for the customers to “meet the maker” in a relaxed atmosphere. The aim is to provide an excellent promotional opportunity for regional artists, artisans, and for our communities to become known as artistic destinations. Where and When is ArtOut held and how often? The initial ArtOut event will be Saturday 19th April, 2014 from 9.00am to 1.00pm at the Waring Gardens Deniliquin, opposite the Cressy Street shopping precinct. This is a grassed area, serviced by concrete footpaths that will allow disabled access. It is hoped to hold future ArtOut events across the nine council areas of the South West Arts Inc region during 2014-15. Deniliquin will be the pilot event to enable South West Arts Inc to assess community interest and capacity for future events. How do I apply for a stall at ArtOut? When is my application due? ArtOut Deniliquin requires all applications no later than Monday 31st March, 2014. When will I be notified if my application is successful? South West Arts Inc will notify successful applicants Friday 4th April 2014. Cost? Fee will be $22.00 ($20.00 + $2.00 GST) per 3m x 3m bare stall (on a grassed area) site. If your application is successful, payment will be required by Friday 11th April 2014.
