Artist Statement My work explores the relationship between consumerist fetishism and counter-terrorism. With influences as diverse as Rousseau and Joni Mitchell, new tensions are crafted from both simple and complex dialogues. Ever since I was a student I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the zeitgeist. What starts out as hope soon becomes finessed into a dialectic of defeat, leaving only a sense of chaos and the dawn of a new beginning. As subtle replicas become clarified through diligent and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the darkness of our existence.
