As 2014 draws to a close, MBA admissions events are over for the year. How can you, a prospective MBA, make contact with your favorite business school? Have no fear, coffee chats are here! December is the time when MBA students head home for the holidays, and admissions use the opportunity to schedule informal coffee chats in various cities. For example, UT McCombs the Texas MBA program has scheduled chats in Houston (December 18), Austin (December 20), San Antonio (December 20), and Dallas (December 22): mccombs.utexas.edu/MBA/Full-Time/Events/Off-Campus#tab-pane2 If you dont see a coffee chat in your city, take the initiative to email admissions and ask if there is an MBA student in your area who might be willing to meet. Even if you dont end up meeting in person, youve made a valuable connection, and someone who can give you insight into the schools culture and learning opportunities.
