As 2014 is nearing the end I have been reflecting on what the year has brought to our family. Autumn Todd Coey Todd and Phillip Douglas. Just like any other family we have had our good times and our bad. We have had times of celebration and times of sadness. Phillips career took a turn and has went from fighting fire full time to fighting crime. He is soon to attend the Police Academy for a 10 week jurney of mental and physical conditioning. He wishes it would be more like the movie series Police Academy. Autumn went from a 15 year old student to a young lady who held a Job during the summer at Awdaddys and paid cash for her first vehicle. She went to HOSA competition and became one of the first Freshman ever to be a HOSA officer! She also is member of the Cotillon club. She now has a job at Cherokee Steak House. Coey decided that he perferred home school and is completing his classes so he can attend college majoring in mechanics. Looks like he inherited some of his Dads and PaPa Seagraff talents when it comes to putting things together. Myself, I acomplished my dream of becoming a Flight Nurse/Paramedic. It has been everything I thought it would be and more. I passed the CEN certification that I thought I would never be ready for. For the year I had 2 EMT classes that I taught pass with 100% pass rate for the class with the help of my awsome teaching partner Jason Erlewine. I have one of my oldest and dearest friends Kendal Shriver Cathey back in my life after 12 years of seperation. She has always been one person who can encourage me to think outside the box and love myself. It feels good to be able to pick up where you left off, thats what true friends are about. I got to spend Christmas with my sister Shelly Cole , Alder Dale Cole, Tim Cole. Its been 17 years since the last Christmas we were together. But, Our life hasnt been all good. I am grateful to have one of the most important people to me Greg Stewart walking and well today. We often forget to count our blessings until something tragic changes our perspective and one of my blessings is having Greg in my life. We have lost people that we work with who made impacts on our life. Names that have gone down in the History of EMS and Fire. Our Grandmother Dolly Qualls went to join our Grandfather Don in Heaven on December 12th and left the family with tears of sorrow and tears of joy to celebrate 84 years of life blessings. As a family we enjoyed our last Christmas celebration at her home on Christmas eve with laughter thankful for all the years our grandparents brought us together. Overall Its been a challanging year with many changes but whats life without changes.....Boring! Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015.
