As 2015 draws closer, aspirants for various elective positions keep increasing on a daily basis. Regrettably though, the female folks are still grooping in the dark as regards to vying for posts available. Statistics shows that the women are not evenly represented in the electoral processes as the percentage of women politicians is grossly inadequate and that is abysmal to the development of democracy in the country. Women are labelled all sorts of names when they declare their interest to run for any position and I believe thats the reason why most of them are naive to contest in an election in a male dominated political terrain. Suffice it to say that it only takes a very courageous and fearless woman to swim in the murky waters of Nigerian politics and politricking. Now that 2015 is around the corner, I wish to see more women participate in elections because I believe in equity, equality and fairness.
