As Barbara and I get ready to head to the farm, to join other family members to celebrate the life of Jim, I am reminded of Jim Valvanos ESPY speech when he was awarded the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award. His body riddled with cancer, two of the lines from his speech were: Dont give up, dont ever give up. Cancer can take away all my physical ability. It cannot touch mind; it cannot touch my heart; and it cannot touch my soul. And those 3 things are going to carry on forever. Jim fought so hard and never gave up. And we all know that this terrible sickness never touched his mind, his heart or his soul. All of us that knew Jim and loved him, know that his heart and soul will go on forever.
