As Christmas is nearly upon us, and we will go quiet on facebook so that we can spend time with our children, I just wanted to take five minutes to say a few words. Oh God, not again I can hear you saying as you scroll past this post omitting to click on the see more tag! But anyway… This last year has flown by and seen the Rescue go from strength to strength, but only with the help and support of you wonderful people. We have a great new website, now being partially managed by the designer Steven Fletcher. YOU have ALL been there for us and the dogs, especially when REALLY needed, the last few weeks we were starting to feel like we were drowning, but again you sprang to help, dogs taken in (out of our home) offers of storage space and offers of help in general. So, Mellie and I (and of course the copious number of dogs helped) would like to say a massive THANK YOU to you all. I dont normally like to name names for fear of omitting anyone, but there are a few I really must single out this time. I think you will agree that we must all take our hats off to Kim & Allison at the kennels, they have never said no, sorry we cant help, we are full, they have always found space when needed. The work they do and results they achieve are second to none. Also Caren Izzard-Moore, who is always on hand at the kennels, working with our dogs. Thanks to Sarah Ellis, for accepting the appointment of director, welcoming us into her family and hers becoming part of ours, as well as being there for us whenever we needed someone, be it to pick up a dog, collect a child from school or just chat to on the phone, amongst a million other reasons. Janice Gerber for making our babies beautiful. Robert and Michelle Hammond, for their tireless fundraising, and more recently for sorting many of the group walks. Emma Browne & Stephanie Graves for both fostering and their fundraising with their fabulous Sparkles designs. Alan Slater for his priceless homeopathic remedies & advice and chiropractic services on both the dogs and me. Taverham Vets for everything they do for us, especially Ollie, going above and beyond for Teddy. Paula Rogers, for being our behind the scenes general dogsbody as well as helping owners, both old and new, with any behavioural problems. And finally to Nicola End Bsl William, our brilliant screener and Linda Weller, both for their constant nagging, oops I meant support, mentally, physically and financially. Thank you ALL, but especially the above, for your wonderful friendship too. We would like to wish each and everyone of our volunteers, old owners and new adopters a VERY Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Without you, EGSR would be nothing. We love you all.
