As HSDP a Karbi Nationalist Regional Party pushing forward for fully restoration of the Sixth Schedule under the constitution of the District Council...The National Party like Bharatiya Janata Party, CPI (ML) and The Congress ( I ), the party in Power in the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council must together come up with a very Clear Stand on the Protections and Restoration of the Sixth Schedule, the Schedule Tribes and the Indigenous Community living in Karbi Anglong. It is time the KAAC put up its responsibility in protecting the Land, Customs, Traditions and Culture, Voting Rights/Electorates along with the Languages...apart from the contentious issues in raising and demanding Autonomous State under Art. 244 ( A ) as per provision in the constitution of Indian and Separate State under Art. 3 of the constitution. Let us not forget that the Sixth Schedule is a list that entitle the sole rights to the Sixth Schedule Community and taking along limited rights to the Indigenous Community living since time immemorial with the Tribal People of the district.
