As I come to terms with the likelihood that we wont be out before Thanksgiving, Id like to share whats happening at home & reach out for help - Collins hockey team this year consists of players from all over the country and world. Theyll be playing in Colorado over Thanksgiving break, and weve agreed to host 2 of his teammates from Finland for the week. Theyll be arriving Friday and will stay with us for 10 days. I was sooooooo looking forward to getting to know these young boys/men and to giving them a slice of home away from home for the week. I am incredibly disappointed that Ill miss this awesome opportunity :( Theyve been eating in the school dining hall since arriving on campus in August, and one thing I really wanted to do was spoil them with yummy home-cooked meals for the week. ** If theres anyone in the area who would be willing to help provide home-cooked meals for 3 15-18 year old growing (& active) hockey players (and Jim and Bradley too, of course) over Thanksgiving break Id be forever grateful. There is less of a need for a Thanksgiving day feast, as the boys have 2 games that day. Any help, though, with brunch &/or dinner starting this Friday evening through next Wednesday would be incredibly appreciated! ** Thank you so much for your consideration...
