As I continued my 365 day bible reading in Genesis 46-48 where we see that Joseph, abandoned by his brothers and sold to the Ishmaelites (modern day Muslims) and brought him into Egypt where he was richly blessed by God and given key leadership positions and in time enabled the Egyptians to weather the 7 years of famine finally reunited with his family and his brothers at the time when they were beginning to suffer the ravishing famine in their own home land. Joseph, richly blessed, found a way to bring them into the land that was flourishing. I was reminded of the tapestry of Gods love for us through the life of Joseph. Where am I going with this? So often we try to depend on human relationships to fulfill us and on a superficial level they do, but when the well runs dry we try to search for other relationships only to be disappointed. What I learned from my Genesis reading thus far is the reality that only God can be the true source of our nourishment. We need God in our life to give us the meaning that life can give us. It becomes a win-win thing when two people who love each other continuously strives to replenish their owe wells by spending time in Gods word; and when we do so our relationships will benefit.https://youtube/watch?v=Nrr-7YA7cfM
