As I have stated in several stories of mine, I believe everyone - TopicsExpress

As I have stated in several stories of mine, I believe everyone judges, all the time. People keep saying to me dont judge/be so judgmental. I say thats hoo-hah. Funny that they dont say this when rendering a verdict about a song, or film, or TV show: When they have judged something good, apparently it is OK to judge. What I have FINALLY deduced is that people are CONFLATING the concept of judgment and CONDEMNATION, which is a totally different thing. Sometimes one must condemn; to judge is necessary to survival. NOT to judge: Good luck with that, cause youll die without doing it. Imagine not judging that walking into traffic might have negative consequences, or that eating rotten food is OK. People need to have a take on things. They need to make decisions for themselves, and ignore the cacophony all around them. Take a stance. Stop being afraid. This is the only life that you have (so far as is empirically evident). Stop concerning yourself with what others think or do, especially if they are not on your side. Dont react to the insecurities of others; they are jealous, and you cannot help them. The best you can hope for is a truce, and then move on with your life. Politics and religion are twin evils; they have to be paid attention to, but as with all human enterprises, they are UTTERLY flawed; you dont need them, they need you. Same for money and power: Its a waste of time to worship these things. Disabuse yourself of the need for such crutches: Have your aspirations, spirituality, and conceptions of justice, but refrain from dogma. Be open to change and new ideas. Do something positive with your life, CREATE something, dont just consume, and stop tearing good people down, or pretending that the state of the world is perfect just because you are fearful. Change it for the better: Judge what needs to be done to help others, the environment, animals, the needy. Stop making everything about your petty existence and get out there. There is nothing to be afraid of, especially failure: Thats how you learn, grow, and improve. Never stop doing that.
