As I lie here with the lights out in my cool dark bunk, Im most certain every one on board The Mark has drifted off to sleep and into their dreams. The only sounds I hear are those from the engine, generator, air vent and the tires as they roll across the asphalt and carry us into the night. Its peaceful yet some what lonely with no beaming stage lights, no sweat dripping down my face, no thunderous applauses and no infectious laughing belting out from Darrin because of some funny antics either I or Jeff Parker stirred up during a show. And last, but certainly not least of course, is our families. They are home in bed sleeping while were on the road living our dreams. Weve got a lot of music, songs and creative ideas we hope to see transpire before our final curtain call someday. I pray the Lord will keep us healthy and let us live long enough to pursue all these things. In the end, I hope we live to see retirement. At that moment in time, Ill look back and cherish years of memories we will have made with all of you and I hope it will have meant as much to you as it will have to us. Jamie S.
