As I mentioned the other day, Ive been focusing a lot on double speed and stamina as of late to help rehearse the more intense new Theocracy demos. In between rehearsing Theocracy songs I like to take time to play some of my favorite metal songs as this was how I learned a lot of drumming growing up. Lately, Ive been using a lot of Gamma Ray for endurance warmups. Although Armageddon is a bit faster, Anywhere in the Galaxy off of Gamma Rays Powerplant is a great warmup song for endurance on double bass as the majority of the 6 and 1/2 minute song is straight 16th notes on double bass.
