As I prepare my portion of tonights Christmas (yes I said - TopicsExpress

As I prepare my portion of tonights Christmas (yes I said Christmas) dinner at work, I am thinking of the past year .... The New Year came in with a BANG with my, at the time fiancé, and close friends ... knowing that the year was going to be HUGE !!! Diane and I were going everywhere with my triathlon events (I mean everywhere, sometimes a 1,000 miles away, 987 to be exact) and in our free time, on top of my training, to our family seclusion at the beach. Good things happened there and bad. None the less we were together. Triathlon season was looking very good and then a pause ... A pause to marry the woman that I fell in love with. And so it was ... A perfect night on June 7th, with our families and friends at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium amongst the sea of tranquility !!! Triathlon season continued, then another pause for our honeymoon ... a cruise to the Bahamas !!! We had a HUGE time !!! Straw Market in Nassau is her weakness (dont tell her I told you that) Triathlon season continued ... My sister and her family moved back to Wilson and the family is together, yet again !!! 2 sisters, 1 aggravating brother, and mom and dad with all of our families, right here in Wilson ... who would have thought ... Life is just getting better by the minute. And there it is ... 2 podium finishes (minimum of 5 races in each) for the season in 2 different triathlon series !!! A total of 15 races and I am exhausted from the cram packed year thus far. The end of the year approached and we were faced with a death in the family. Shocking to say the least ... Ponder on that a moment, please ... Dianes son was to be married !!! All good there and we could both sit and have a sigh of relief that we had pulled it off !!! Pulled off what some would say was a miracle in normal lives .... 2 weddings, 15 triathlons, countless trips together and a cruise to the Bahamas, un planned family crisis ... WOW We did it. We did it together. Everything we had planned or un planned, was coming together without a hitch ... Now it is Christmas (yes, again I said Christmas) ... the GREAT year that we had shared has come to take a back seat to what our family is facing, yet again. I ask that you pray. Not for Diane and myself and our families ... pray for yourselves and all of your family. Pray that things will happen exactly as you have planned. Pray that the un planned things do not happen to your families .......... Please count your blessing. Learn from your mistakes and in the end, IT will be OK !!! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to each and everyone of you !!! Brian and Diane
