As I reflect on the events of the day, I am truly humbled. It was great to spend time with sorors & good friends, embark upon something new & different, share laughs, take pix & all the pleasures of having a great time! However, the most special & humbling moment of experiencing the Hot Chocolate Race was walking under Lower Wacker.....to see SO many people homeless lined up on the side of the street was mind blowing! We gave our hot chocolate goodies to them & kept walking....but the feelings of concern & compassion wouldnt leave me....my heart cannot let me ignore or even forget the sight to see human beings living underground. ...not one or two, but several lined up & down the street....theres not much I or we can do....but we ALL can do something! My prayers are with the many who may be lost & forgotten in the underground city....I am a huge advocate of service, helping & giving back! My feelings are....we are soooo blessed, but NOT special! It could happen to any of us! So, I just ask for each of us to give back in some type of way if you can....in the words of my favorite quote: Service is the Rent WE pay for living on this earth! #hc15k #hotchocolaterace14 #humbled
