As I regularly scroll through my feed on my personal page, I notice a reoccurring theme as it relates to the Faith: it is constantly called into question, ridiculed, and mocked but it is the standard that other belief systems are compared to. I have friends who believe many things, and I do not begrudge them their belief systems because this calling is not for everyone; however, I have often wondered why the Faith is the go to for attacks. For example, when there is a world crisis, people post things like...What is the Christian church going to do about this? Or, Now the Christians have been revealed as hypocrites. Or, How can you believe in a religion (Faith) that was handed down by slave masters? And so on and so forth. Well, today it dawned upon me that one of the myriad of reasons the Faith is targeted is because our Savior rose from the dead of His own power, walked the Earth then ascended into heaven with the promise of His return. There is no other worshiped deity with this claim nor is there another god who resurrected (of its own power) or at the very least died for the sole benefit of everyone (including those who do not believe in said deity). Do you realize how huge that is? Now, do not get me wrong, there are several gods with a history of death and resurrection, but none who were risen without the assistance of someone or something else. Oftentimes, Christ is compared to Kemetic deities (historical documents insinuate or note that these were the gods worshiped by Abrahams family in Chaldea in the Land of Ur); however, those gods that were said to be of virgin birth were not the same gods who died and those gods that died were then revived by the magic (generally using an incantation) of another . That is not the same thing. This is not the same account. It does not mean that those gods do not or did not exist (the Bible makes reference to several gods), it just means that those gods are not our God. In the end, I would like to think of it in championship terms: it is not the victor who compares himself to the loser, but the other way around. If it is necessary to disparage another belief system to authenticate a belief system then that belief system is not the originator. That belief system is not the victor. So, I will look at these insults with new eyes and remember that I serve the God of gods, the Lord of lords and the King of kings...anything else is unnecessary. youtu.be/bYENQr6jgHw
