As I sat and pondered, I was thinking of Cain and Abel. The Lord - TopicsExpress

As I sat and pondered, I was thinking of Cain and Abel. The Lord loved Abels sacrifice more than Cains and if I am correct Abels was the prize of his herd and Cains was a basket of his best harvest. This made me wonder why the Lord found more favor with Abels. I went to the lake where I do my best thinking and this is the thought I came up with. Its hard for me to put into words so bear with me. I get more from examples than words. If you had two kids and you loved them equally, they both have given you a gift, but one is doing so from the heart because he/she are eager to please you, wanting to please you and so proud when they do. The other gives a nice gift but reluctantly because he/she knows they should. I think that is what our creator wants, for us to obey him not because we fear hell but because we love him, want to please him, feel joyful when we think we have pleased him.. To love one another not because he commanded it but because we love him and so therefore love all he created. Not to give because we are suppose to but because it brings us joy and a feeling of happiness to know we made someone else happy. My aunt Ouida is my inspiration, in her examples I learned so much...
