As I see the comment I made simply trying to allow those to see that a condo on the beach is not cheap to purchase. struck a couple people the wrong way Please put on the shoes for a moment that the owners of these wear DAILY.As recently as yesterday I had someone in a local room of home rentals I have, TELL ME my house was TO HIGH and that she wasnt going to pay that.I said well, you need to call the lady down the street that has the trailer park with $300 per month trailers.I am sure she can fulfill your need.A condo on the beach is NOT cheap.Your looking at $130,000-$250,000,and UP.The window each year closes futher for the BEACH VACATION.If you wasnt aware the miracle strip amusement park closed the doors in 2004 because it was impossible to make a years salary in 2 months (june and july) and be able to show a profit or break even.This is due to the schools attempting to make school a year round venture with a week off here and there.Imagine every school in alabama having off a week for summer break and what a condo will cost then...I welcome the motels that have $40-$50 rooms to advertise here.I have sent them emails in hopes they would advertise rates and book here,however I have not seen any yet to want the list of customers.The reason I have the timeshare post above is so people who frequent this room and dont make $100,000 per year, (thats me) to be able to find something for $700-$800 for a weekor maybe even buy the timeshare, pay a maintenance fee each year and get it for $600...I am not here to offend ANYONE.I am proud to say this room has just hit 7000 people and it makes me proud to have that much imput here. Rental property is difficult.An owner is risking their investment to someone they have no idea if they are going to come in and leave the place as if noone was there, or have a wild party and spew liquor all over the carpet and put holes in the wall.Then there are dues to the condo they have to pay, condo owners insurance on the unit,property taxes,any maintenance on the unit ( ie heat-air- plumbing, stopped up toilets,broken furniture,replacement furniture) exterminating,their mortgage,property taxes,(and since florida has no state income tax, this is how they collect more than if they did) any parking fees, beach chair rentals for OUR enjoyment while there on vacation, and they have to pay for this while the 2 months of SUMMER RENTALS are there.I am not trying to be a smarta**,I am not trying to cause a fight and have this room turn into a political key fight between who has what or the have and have nots,I am a working single male in ga that makes his living from the sweat of his brow and the hands at the end of my arms.I started this room for the sole purpose to be able to see what is out there and the prices and selection in the market.I am sure some of you have purchased a vacation thru this site, I have talked to some wonderful owners here, made a few friends along the way.I especially want to thank Tammy Scarbrough Newman for helping me moderate this page.Many of you have never been an administrator in a room such as this, especially with 7000 people commenting daily. As new members come in, we DO SCREEN each, looking at the front page of your profile and deciding if you are coming in to find a vacation place or to sell sunglasses and shoes, or help you fix your credit scams.I usually spend an hour per day of MY TIME for FREE,to go thru comments, delete or add private messages, and make sure the room is runningright.I am a very laid back kinda guy and sometimes enjoy throwing a cartoon or picture of the beach on here just to keep it interesting..I am not directing my thoughts to any one person, heck, I dont even KNOW you or your beliefs, or anything about you.I appreciate you being here, why would I want to run you off??????????? have a great day and if your at the beach, stick your foot in the ocean for me and holler HEY JOE NALLEY!!!!!!!!..
