As I sit here and watch this unbelievably gorgeous man sleep, my heart is just pulled into so many directions. I am beyond grateful for the Drs and nurses that saved his life. I am grateful that I am able to sit here in his presence and hear him breath. But as the emotions of fear, sadness, happiness, and confusion sort themselves out, I am also becoming very angry at the reason he almost died yesterday. A nurse gave him medicine for a heart problem, not a collapsed lung which is what caused his BP to drop so low. It was already low to start, and upon giving him that medicine he went out. And fast. Due to a HUGE mistake and and a lack of communication, it almost cost us his life. It is very disheartening that such a careless error was made during an already scary time. I feel that the communication in this hospital between doctors and nurses is next to nonexistent. Dont get me wrong, I am forever indebted to the ones who did, and continue to do right by him, but I am very upset that those steps were even necessary to take. Mistakes happen, but life threatening, careless ones are absolutely inexcusable with someones life. Especially a fathers....
