As I sit here listening to the fire siren, I feel more vulnerable - TopicsExpress

As I sit here listening to the fire siren, I feel more vulnerable than usual. Not for today, but for the next few days. I am normally the one in control, but now I have to rely on others. It has given me an insight into how people may feel when they do not have the mobility of others; cannot drive or have anyone to make sure they will be safe in case of fire. We have not reviewed our fire plan since last year, as I had my fall when we had the meeting planned. As we have older people on our plan who cannot drive, we must get onto it today. Perhaps it is something we can all consider. Lets become aware of the people around us who may not have transport, or support.
