As I sit here on the eve of the last day of Gator football this - TopicsExpress

As I sit here on the eve of the last day of Gator football this year, I turn to music for solace and comfort, and this is what I hear: 1. Elvis brings a little hope with this rendition(to the tune of Heartbreak Hotel): Well, since our victories left us, Weve found a new place to dwell. Its down at the bottom of the polls, At a heartbreak locale. Weve gotta win to get out of here, Weve gotta win this very week. 2. The Beatles chime in and say(to the tune of Hey Jude): Hey, Gators, Dont make it bad. Take a sad year, And make it better. 3. In protest to the negativity and cloud of gloom surrounding the Gator fan base, John Lennon adds(to the tune of Give Peace a Chance): All we are saying, Is give the Gators a chance. Everybodys talking about losses, bad tosses, and defense giving way, All we are saying, Is give the Gators a chance. 4. The Eagles add a positive note(to the tune of Take it Easy): Standin on a corner in Gainesville, Florida, Such a fine sight to see. Its a win, my lord, Over a Seminole hoard, Comin in with a Gator victory. 5. Finally, U2 makes it real with this tune(to the tune of With or Without You): See Kelvin Taylor streak down the field, He gives us six before he yields, Then the defense takes a stand, And takes them down in man to man. Its a Gator victory. We could all live, With a Gator victory. So thats my jukebox plays for the day. Its not probable, but it sure is possible. We expect the team to walk onto our field in our house with their heads high and to not give up until the last play. We have to do the same. Put it out there, Gators. Come on, Gators, get up and go.
