As I sit here tonight in the quietness of my living room, I have - TopicsExpress

As I sit here tonight in the quietness of my living room, I have Happy thoughts and very sad thoughts, as I await to receive a call from the home of my beloved brother, Owen Cowart. I am made sad because of his dear wife, Merline, three sons, Billy, Bobby and Tony and their precious families. To see them taking care of him and their mother touches my soul and heart strings. So much love and care in that home, along with the Hospice Care. (What a God send). But, I am made glad to know that It is not DEATH to die but to transport to a prepared place where there are no hearing aids, glasses, walkers, wheel chairs, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimers or any other disease or life threatening situations. Thats what thrills my heart. I look at dying like a ship, in harbor about to leave. There are loving people all around waving good-bye with tears in their eyes, saying, I love you, we will miss you and Gods Speed. As the ship sails out into the horizon,, out of sight, theres another harbor on the other side saying, Hello, Son, Brother and Pawpaw, Welcome home. Its so good to see you. We have longed to see you. For you see, my brother Owen has a mom, dad, three brothers, sister and precious grand daughter, already there waiting. Even though we will miss him here, he has a brand new body with no aches, pains or worries. He has the Great Physician Jesus Christ to care for him and all his needs will be met. Thank you, Lord, for taking care of all things in your special way. I can just see his grand daughter, Jennifer, showing him around to all the beautiful sights there.....streets of gold, cool gentle river passing through and walls of jasper. (Revelation 21:18). Can we even picture that? God is good. So you see the sentiments of my heart tonight. Yes, I am sad but made glad to know God takes care of His own. Do you know Him? What if it were you, would you be ready. My brother Owen said he was ready and not afraid to die. Can we say the same thing? Love and hugs to all the family and friends as we await the words, Hes in the arms of Jesus now and peace has finally come for a fighting, strong soldier of life.
