As I sit here with my wife Danielle Brynn McFadden and our son - TopicsExpress

As I sit here with my wife Danielle Brynn McFadden and our son Walker I cant help but reflect back on yesterday and last night. As the 2 pictures show, I was able to harvest a deer with my bow. Not only is harvesting a deer with your bow challenging, trying to do it in January just adds to the challenge. But thats not what this is about. This is about all those times that my parents told me something and I doubted them or didnt believe their word. This deer is a prime example to never doubt your parents, THEY ALWAYS KNOW BEST, as my mother told me earlier in this hunting season to stick with it and good things will come. Then yesterday afternoon my dad called me and said we should hunt. We would be missing a good night if we didnt go. I doubted him 100% due to it being a little warmer than I would like for a January hunt. But sure enough we took off to our blind for the evening hunt. The picture tells the rest as I was able to harvest this beautiful Ohio 9 point. But more importantly I was able to experience it with my father. The man who introduced me to this amazing sport that I love so much. We made a memory together that no one take take from either of us as long as we have a beating heart and for that I am truly grateful for. I hope that one day I am able to be as great a parent to my children as my parents have been to me. And someday I hope to make memories with my kids such as this one that will last a lifetime. A memory like this is something that an individual can look back upon on their worst days and it will brighten it right up. To those who have experienced this you know what I am talking about, and to those who havent I hope you do sometime soon.
