As I was leaving town earlier this evening & driving up C-470 just - TopicsExpress

As I was leaving town earlier this evening & driving up C-470 just south of the Morrison exit I saw the most beautiful sky. It was definitely bitter sweet & I couldnt help but tear up a bit as I left my beloved home to begin a new chapter of my life. Growing up in the Morrison & Green Mountain area & living a large part of my life in the Ken Caryl area, this was a familiar drive for me. I had our beautiful pristine Rocky Mountains to my left, Soda Lakes to my right, Green Mountain up ahead to my right & of course the gorgeous views & Gods geological master piece Red Rocks up ahead to my left. The sun was getting ready to ease its way over the mountains & it was partly cloudy. Theres NOTHING like a Rocky Mountain sunset. The suns rays were bursting through the clouds in just the right spots illuminating the beauty of Gods country as it shone brightly down. While at the same time the clouds were casting shadows in various areas and making all the lush spring grass appear even more green, vibrant & alive. The skies held onto the gorgeous reds, orange, blues & velvet hues as it began setting. I wish I had taken a picture! It was so breathtaking!! I will forever hold that memory in my mind. Sad to say goodbye to what has always been my home. But excited to begin this new chapter. I will be home to visit often!! How can anyone stay away from such a beautiful & majestic place?
