As I was teaching Sunday School yesterday which my husband and I tag team ..lol but it was my Day to teach for him, as I started studying what God had given me to do . I focused in on The book of 2 Timothy...Paul writing to Timothy he warned him against men who had harmed him in his ministry.Charging Timothy to maintain sound doctrine. Paul expresses his personal confidence and Faith in Christ. Yall can read the book of Timothy but I wanted to share 2Tim 2 23-24 Refuse *shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questioning, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. And the servant of the Lord must not be quarreling (fighting and contending) Instead, he must be kind to everyone, mild tempered, peaceful, skilled teacher, patient and forbearing and WILLING to suffer wrong. WOW, now thats a mouthful!!!! How many people can we say truly carry these characteristics? Do we carry ANY of the above? How many times do we allow Ourselves to be in conversations that dont edify? Be involved or get entangled in controversies? Are we kind to EVERYONE or do we pick and choose? Are we peaceful, patient, tolerant and willing to Suffer a wrong done to us? May we each evaluate our own heart to see!! We canNOT be set apart or shine like a Beacon if we blend right in with the dark! Have a Blessed Day! :)
