As I watch the events of whats happening around our world, the fires, the floods, the bullies, the attitudes behind the bullying. The crimes that people commit, crimes against children, loved ones, against themselves. I stand truley in aw that people would not run toward a loving caring heavenly Father that would shelter them, protect them, love them, encourage them, support them, motivate them toward what is good what is pure and what is lovely. So many times, in talking with people they tell me they dont do the church thing, their not into God, they have a special relationship that in some way makes them immune to having to follow the same guidelines that Christ has laid out for His followers, they dont need God too close, to involved in their life. They say they believe but they dont have to do anything about it. When I think of what being a Christian means to me it means not having to have God cose however wanting Him close, needing Him close, wanting Him in charge of every aspect so that I have the best life available. Not because I have to, because I want to. I dont follow Christ and live by the instructions He has supplied because I am afraid of Him, its because I love Him so much for all that he has done, all that He has given and continues to give, itis my pleasure to serve Christ in anyway that I can, not a chore, not a task its an honor. I choose to serve Christ I choose to not conform to the negativity that this world provides, I choose to reach for others who are immersed in the negativity and simply say Jesus has brought good news, it doesnt have to be this way. Yo dont have to live sad, depressed, angry, addicted, in bondage, in fear, defeated, helpless or hopeless. Its important that with all the events that may occur before our King reappears, that we be aware and informed however we keep our focus on Christ and think on things which are pure , lovely and of a good report, have knowledge of the negative thins but think on te positive things.
