As I watched all of my younger siblings this morning and think about my niece and nephew yesterday, I wonder why we are so ready to receive gifts from Santa but not from God. This morning my family bounded down the stairs in a full out sprint sounding like a herd of elephants. Why is it that we are not like that with the gift of Salvation? We should be running with all of our might toward eternal life and love and making as much noise as possible. Yet, we often meander there after making a few stops along the way and then once we have received the gift of life, we choose to stay silent as not to offend anyone. Well, this morning I am on the offensive and am praising my favorite gift with all of my might. Thank you God for Jesus! Thank you God for Love! Thank you God for Salvation! Thank you God for Life! Let the elephants sprint to the finish line! :)
