As I work on cutting up all of the wonderful fresh veggies I got at Urban Harvest farmers market this morning, it occurred to me that people often forget about or are not familiar with ways to use the bulky stems of broccoli. Simply cut off the outside woody section, cut into 1.5-2 inch pieces and shred with your food processor. Add a dash of plum or fig balsamic vinegar, a dash of honey, salt and olive oil and come unsweetened dried cranberries, blueberries or cherries and enjoy.
