As Im faced with the inevitability of my ETS I took a look back at all the photos and all the life experience I gained over the last 8 years. In bitterness I asked myself how was this worth it? and before the thought had finished the answer was staring me in the face. I met my beautiful wife Ashlyn Roberts because I stayed in the army. I met my best friend Jack Krause and my third best friend Jack Douglas because I was in the army. I worked with some of the best men I have ever known, and learned from the best (and quite possibly the worst *COUGH* HANLIN *COUGH*) leaders I have seen or heard of. I earned life experience through blood, sweat and tears that many wont understand or even try to understand. It didnt take me long to figure out that it wasnt just worth it... I got something so enormous for just showing up, something pricless for free, and hell i got paid in the process too. I got a little time left to go and I wanted to just take a minute to say thank you to all those out there that made the last 8 years the best Ive lived so far.
