As John Hartford wouldve said, its darker than the inside of a cow outside, as some bad weather rolls in from the west... I awoke with the sound of loud cracks of thunder and lightning, and the sound of Emmas toenails skittering around on the old oak floor at the bottom of the steep stairs. She was scared out of her gourd by the threatening storm, but too afraid to climb the stairs to my room. Poor old Gal, I thought maybe she had lost enough of her hearing to not be able to hear the storms anymore, but I guess this one is strong enough to be felt at levels beyond hearing. I think I will move her dog bed over by where I am sitting, maybe that will calm her.
