As Member of Parliament, I initially thought mine was to lobby for projects, make sure your constituency runs smoothly, you know. I didn’t know you have to spend about 60 percent of your time sitting in that House and debate these laws. I never envisaged I was going to spend more time sitting in that House. I thought we were going to spend about 10 or 15 minutes each visit and then the rest will be in your constituency to make sure people are comfortable. That was what I thought being an MP was about.
