As Military BRATS we know why today is so very important. This just reinforces why we must continue with our fight. We are not the heroes. We know precisely who they are. I have been to Pearl Harbor when we were stationed in HI and I was in awe. I cant begin to express my gratitude to all service members, past and present. I can only hope we are successful in making it known the real heroes need to be honored and respected. I especially wish to thank my Dad (USAF RET), my Mom US Army (4 active and reserve), my Husband (USAF RET), and my Brother (US Army AD). Thank You will never be enough, but we mean it when we say it; it is not a platitude. I am blessed to be able to tuck my 3 children in every night under the blanket of freedom that has been so unselfishly provided us by all of these heroes. We all have countless family and friends who have given of themselves to defend our Constitution and preserve our freedoms. I am even more proud (if it is possible) to a BRAT more than ever. These heroes have our respect and undying gratitude. To all the service members, who may not be BRATS but have still joined with us, and to the BRATS among us who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces, I am eternally grateful for your absolute loyalty and selfless sacrifices to our beloved America and our Constitution. Without you all, we might very well be speaking a different language. For those who are no longer with us, well, the receiving line in heaven will be very long. I will spend as long as it takes to get through it one at a time and persoanlly thank every single one who has come before. I will likely hold up the line for my family and friends I have lost, but I know you will understand. May God continue to bless America.
