As October comes to a close, I wanted to share something I wrote in my Caring Bridge journal back in February of 2011. It was the day of my head shaving party. The pink ribbons are going to be taken down and the breast cancer commercials will end, but please think about all of the information that I have shared about prevention. And always remember, LOVE HEALS! February, 2011 This week the doctor was right about my hair. Slowly it is fading which I don’t think is fair. Some strands on my pillow, some clumps in my hand, This is one more part of cancer that is hard to understand. Right now haven’t I been through enough? Do I really need to loose my hair to learn more stuff? My kids might feel embarrassed and people could stare. But, I guess it will allow us moments to show how we care. We are having a “buzz party” with family and friends tonight. Not sure how many Mohawks will be on sight? I do know that LOVE will fill the air. Because these people are the answer to my prayers. And, as I prayed this week, I heard Gods voice. He said find your inner beauty and rejoice! Rejoice I will, along with some tears. As I overcome more of my fears. I will continue to stand in God’s light. And know that he has me in his sight.
