As Robert Holden was finishing talking about loveability, a woman across the aisle and a couple of rows back handed this to me. I imagine the look on my face was WTF?! I was really confused. No, it wasnt for the woman next to me. It was for me. I set it down and resumed listening, somewhat irked that Id missed what he was saying and there is no rewind button for live lectures. Afterwards, the women immediately came over to talk to me. The beautiful young woman who wanted me to have it, it seems, doesnt really speak English, so her sister translated. She said theyd sat behind me before and observed that I was a very handsome and very loving man. The Mexican woman (whod flown to the US just for the event) kept pointing at her heart and holding it, referring to my big heart. She was talking rapidly in Spanish with her sister translating as quickly as possible. She wanted to tell me I have an amazing life, with wonderful people in it, and that Im doing very well. She wanted me to know I could have a the whole world in my life if I didnt wall off myself. I agreed. I guess I didnt think I wanted the whole world in my life. I rarely want anyone in it. Or at least thats what Ive thought. Anyway, this was a fascinating cross-cultural exchange with hugs and much love. Her sister, it turns out, lives in Madison, WI and drove all the way to Denver for this. This was a fascinating end to a phenomenal weekend. Of course I cried tears of joy on the way back. The combo of the workshop love and the scenery is just unparalleled.
