As Sandra Arciniaga and I prepare to make our move from FV to - TopicsExpress

As Sandra Arciniaga and I prepare to make our move from FV to Costa Mesa in 30 days, I cannot help but reflect on all the wonderful memories we had here at this house. But there is one memory that stands out above them all. Oh wait, let me guess! (Note: Sandy lived at La Lima with her parents, whom we later purchased the house from.) Was it the night you first drove her home and told her not tell you where she lived and that you would figure it out by playing the hot and cold game and failed miserably and ultimately ran out of gas behind the La Lima Garage? NO! Was it the night the US performed the Miracle on Ice as you watched on your future in laws couch? NO! Was it the time the Bees decided to come through the chimney and start to build a hive inside your House! HELL NO! How about the time our first dog Mogul got her leash rapped around the Christmas tree and knocked it down and smashed most of the ornaments and your boys Nicholas Arciniaga and Michael Arciniaga were scared of what was going to happen to them. He He, No, that was funny, but No. How about the day we brought baby Samuel Tristan Arciniaga home from the hospital and made our family complete? Welllll, that is good one, but NO. Was it the morning of Jennifer Methvins wedding as I watched nervously as my little girl prepared to wed the man of her dreams James Boyd Methvin Jr. and ultimately produce two and counting beautiful children. Could be, but No. Was it the time Nicholas announced to us that he was going to be married to my lovely daughter in law Carolyn Arciniaga and you shrilled in excitement for them. Oooh that was a good one, but No. Okay, tell me. The memory that I will take to my grave occurred one February evening in 1979. I had taken a liking to Miss Sandy Wood and offered to take her home numerous times from work (McDonalds). Usually we wound up at a restaurant and would eat and talk for hours. This had been going on for about a month until that fateful night that I gathered my courage and asked (yes asked for permission) to give Sandy a kiss. She said YES!!! This moment occurred right behind the gate leading to back patio of our home we call La Lima. Frequently, when I walk through the back gate, I reminisce of that special moment we shared so long ago.
