As a British/Irish Person living and having grown up in Germany, I often come across ignorant comments about the British! As we all know Britain consists of one country, namely England and theres only one city in the country and thats London - thats what everyone thinks anyway. Also comments about the way the English look is always a popular topic especially during the World Cup! All countries are compared by lining up beautiful women from Sweden, Italy, Brasil etc. and the joke is to show an unattractive overweight woman to represent England. I would in this case like to remind everyone that Germany has the most obese people in Europe - just saying! You only have to watch daily reality soaps on television to realize this. So as a German saying goes Wer im Glashaus sitzt sollte nicht mit Steinen werfen! And finally to a country that doesnt just consist of Heidi Klum clones, please Google Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss, Emma Watson to name very few. I think youll realize its a bit ignorant to generalize or do all Germans really just eat Kraut and sausages? 😉
