It is not a religious holiday as many claim it is a pagan holiday, even if it was, in recent years it has been labeled simply a north american / western custom for children and maybe even a business for corporations. Therefore, in my personal opinion I do not think its a bad thing for kids to dress in their favorite costumes and go trick or treating. Why be hypocrites, when I lived in a Muslim country, (Dubai, UAE) the Muslims would send their kids to go door to door to ask for candy and money as a cultural holiday.
